FAQs

  • Q: I forgot to register on Thursday night, can I still come to Convention?

A: All spots to Convention have sold out however you can still add yourself to the waitlist, by going to: http://wired.ivvy.com/event/P2012/. Alternatively, get online on Monday 30th April to purchase yourself a partial package!

Q: If I haven’t heard by now, can I still get full registration?

A: If you are on the waitlist, there is a possibility that you will get full registration if other delegates cancel, but unfortunately this is unlikely. Remember, there are still partial packages to sell!!

Q: I don’t have accommodation, can I still get it?

A: Currently all of the places at the official accommodation venues are taken. Places may become available if delegates who have accommodation don’t want it anymore. Please email us at logistics@convention2012.amsa.org.au if you would like to be placed on the waitlist for these accommodation places.

A: There is no paper ticket. Now that you are registered we have your name on our list and will require you to show photo ID when you arrive at Convention. To view your registration details log on to http://wired.ivvy.com/event/P2012/

    Q. I can’t afford a plane ticket to Perth, how would you suggest getting there?

A: Seeing as petrol is so expensive at the moment, driving will probably amount to a similar price or more than a plane ticket – therefore we do not suggest this. Your only option is to walk. If you are from Sydney it will take you exactly 31 days and 1 hour so you will need to start walking at the beginning of June. According to google maps the best route to take can be seen here. Once you are on the edge in Perth we can guarantee that you will not regret the journey.

    Q. I am convention mole, will my true identity be revealed in Perth?

    A: Maybe, maybe not…
